Microneedling

Controlled treatment for selected skin concerns

During microneedling, a device with small needles is passed over the treatment area to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. The procedure initiates the skin's normal wound-healing response. Results are not immediate and vary among individuals.

Microneedling may be considered for the appearance of certain textural concerns and scars. The treatment depth, number of sessions, and interval between treatments depend on the area, skin condition, and individual plan. PRP may be offered as an add-on when clinically appropriate.

Microneedling is not appropriate for everyone. Your provider will screen for factors such as active infection, open wounds, certain skin conditions, impaired healing, recent isotretinoin use, pregnancy or breastfeeding, medications, and recent procedures in the treatment area.
