Botulinum Toxin Treatments

BOTOX® Cosmetic · Dysport® · Xeomin®

Prescription treatments for targeted muscle activity

Botulinum toxin treatments are prescription medicines administered by injection into selected muscles. They work by reducing signaling between nerves and the injected muscles, temporarily decreasing muscle activity in the treated area.

Lilac offers BOTOX Cosmetic, Dysport, and Xeomin. These products are not interchangeable, and their approved indications and dosing units differ. Your provider will assess your anatomy, muscle movement, medical history, and goals before recommending a product and treatment plan.

BOTOX Cosmetic is FDA approved in adults for temporary improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines, crow's feet, forehead lines, and platysma bands. Dysport and Xeomin are FDA approved for temporary improvement of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows in adults. Use in other areas is not an FDA-approved cosmetic indication for those products.

Areas treated

  • Frown lines between the eyebrows
  • Forehead lines where appropriate for the selected product
  • Crow's feet where appropriate for the selected product
  • Platysma bands where appropriate for the selected product
